CoilMaster, a power inductor company, is screaming pleasantly due to its high-speed growth.
This is because the digital TV market, which is a front-line industry, is growing rapidly, and demand for new applications such as audio and mobile Internet devices (MID) is increasing. The inductor serves to supply a stable voltage and current to the substrate and is applied to a TV・PC as an important component that blocks noise. CoilMaster is rapidly increasing its market share while its competitors, Japanese and Chinese companies, are shaking with exchange rates.
According to an industry on the 14th, Coilmaster (CEO Cha Kwon-mook) raised its production scale of monthly inductors to 60 million units through its self-developed automated facility system called 'Innovation Line'. Next year, it plans to complete the second innovation line and expand it to around 100 million units per month through the establishment of overseas factories. CoilMaster has invested an unusual amount this year for a power inductor company and plans to continue investing next year.
The number of inductors produced by CoilMaster this year has solidified its position as a leading company, far exceeding the total production of the rest of the domestic companies. During the financial crisis, small power inductor companies have closed their doors and overseas orders are pouring in, resulting in a shortage of supply.
Technology development, which has been investing steadily even in times of crisis, is also showing its strength. Coyle Master recently developed a "two-in-one," a power inductor array type, and developed a product that can replace two inductors with one. It was applied to audio devices this year and is expected to be applied to LCD・LED TV and others next year. In particular, this product has two inductors so that the resonance point can be changed so that the exact sound can be realized even when used in a thin TV. Compared to the same Japanese product, the size is one-third and the price is half as competitive.
Coyle Master's sales estimate for this year is 40 billion won, and it is expected to be 80 billion won next year. It is also making efforts to discover new growth industries, such as starting a transformers as a new business.
An official of the company said, "Sales of products such as TV・PC by Korean set companies are expanding, and orders from Japanese companies are also increasing," and added, "We are putting more effort into strengthening price competitiveness by working on automation line processes."
